The more problems you solve, the better prepared you will be for the tests...
Various people have asked for a list of suggested problems, aside from the homework, that would be particularly good to attempt. I have selected some good extra problems from Fishbane et al. (either odd-numbered ones, so you can check the answer in the back of the book, or else I'll put the numerical answer here), but I'd also suggest that you could look at one or more of the alternate textbooks for additional problems and worked examples. I'll try and update this list as the term progresses...
