Recorder Time
Recorder Time is an elementary school soprano recorder method
commissioned and published by Christian Schools International (Grand
Rapids, MI; 1980). It includes a student book (129 pages) and a
teacher guide (63 pages). Cassette tapes are also available
illustrating some of the 240 pieces contained in the student book (of
which 200 are solo melodies and 40 are ensemble pieces for anywhere
from two to four recorder parts). Recorder Time has been
continuously in print since its publication and as of 2001 had sold
17,000 copies.
