Before analysis of $\mu$SR data can begin, it is important to test the process of analysis on known, generated data. To do this a Fortran program was written to generate realistic data. Then several analysis techniques were implemented to determine the underlying frequency distributions. We started by testing with a simple Fourier transform. Next attempts were made with the Maximum Entropy technique of spectral analysis. Then, we tried fitting to a Fourier series. In the end it was found that perhaps the best way to uncover the frequency distributions was by fitting the data to a Fourier series.
