A polarized
He target is used to measure target spin characteristics of
high energy electron and photon scattering at Jefferson Lab. An
unavoidable background for these experiments comes from the entrance
and exit windows of the target chamber. Mr. Mellor aided in the setup
of an optical means to measure the entrance and exit window
thicknesses. He also carried out measurements on an actual film.
