Cell Fill Procedure


Initial State :
System should be pumped out
All valves are open except BV14 (The valve between bellows and roughing pump)
All bottles are closed
Turbo pump is on
Purifier heaters are on
Ion Pump is on

Fill Procedure

1. Close BV15 and GV1
2. Put turbo pump in "Standby mode"
3. Turn ion pump off
4. Close BV1, BV2, BV3, BV4, BV7, BV10 and BV13
5. Open bottle 1
6. Close bottle 1
7. Open DV1
8. Gently open BV2, flow gas slowly
9. Close BV11
10. Record pressure and temperature
11. Close BV12
12. Open BV15
13. Close DV5
14. Slowly open BV14 until Pirani gauge 1.0e-2 torr
15. Close BV14
16. Open DV5
17. Open GV1
18. Pump until Cold Cathode Gauge is at 1e-5 mbar or so
